Rules Advisory for November 2023! There will be a few mechanics too look out for, and to be extra clear, I will not be going in depth about them at Opening Ceremonies because I want to get the event started quickly. So please make sure to read and ask any questions ahead of time! For starters, there will be a fungus among us! MECHANIC #1: PUTRICORDYCEPTIS This is a disease that infects the host with a fungal growth that will slowly take over their body and turn them into an undead creature. While infected, the character’s body total cannot be detected by any means, nor are they aware of how injured they are. (ex. Even a severed arm they will not acknowledge and try to act as if its still there.) When the character drops, they immediately go into the critical stage of their death count. After that has expired, they rise up again, gain 50 Armor and the following ability: Infectious Rot - Once the character loses all Armor, they explode infecting the nearest living target with spores. The target then becomes infected with Putricordyceptis. This is an auto-hit Disease and may be defended as such. Every time the character dies in this way, the cycle repeats until the infection is cured. This cannot be removed through normal Disease cures. Any means that can cure it will trigger Infections Rot. RESURRECTION Any character who is resurrected by another Undead PC will gain the same template as the resurrector. Fallow may raise a PC as any of the templates. Sacred Resurrection is unaffected by this. Characters with Animate Dead may choose to resurrect a PC as the type of Undead they are, or as a Wraith, Skeleton, or Zombie. ALL undead raised by Fallow or any undead raised by those who have become undead because of Fallow have the following commands they must follow: You may not intentionally destroy yourself to free you from undeath. You must follow any command given by Fallow himself. Stats for the Undead Templates will be available in logistics and are only to be used this month for any PCs raised as Undead. Any PCs turned undead *WILL NOT* be undone by plot at the end of the event and will persist beyond November. It is entirely on you how long you remain in this state and how you overcome it. Setting the Tone and Expectations We have been memeing pretty nonstop for the last few weeks about Fallow and that is absolutely wonderful. I've loved every bit of it! But I want to encourage that the memeing stops at Lay-on. While it is a light-hearted villain in a sense, like a saturday morning cartoon, there is still very real danger coming and I don't want that to be cut short by an out of place joke. I promise you, the event will be all the more fun if you buy in to the story unfolding, even when it gets a little absurd. My goal is to aim for a little absurdity and a lot of horror. Secondly, I want to make it very clear from the start, I do not intend to pull punches or drive the plot in any one direction. You can lose, and it can have a very lasting effect. I have planned for these scenarios and they have the chance to be just as fun as winning in their own way. We're telling a story together, I'm just setting the stage! So please, go in ready to buy in, and have just as much fun winning or losing!

Arrival Reminder You can be on camp as early as noon on Monday. James will sometimes be in logistics for checking in, but if you arrive and he is not there, his cellphone number can be found Lay On, Lay Off, and Periods Soft lay on starts at 2pm on Monday. We will not be holding announcements. Formal lay on is 10pm, so please try to be in game/have cars offsite by then if possible, as a courtesy. Periods will follow the typical schedule of any other event for the purposes of gathering, crafting, or skill use. (Reminder: the event is non-combat.) Lay off is 2pm on Wednesday. Please be off of camp no later than 5pm. There is no mandatory NPC shift at this event. Schedule and Activities Any and all activities are player-directed! Do you want to host an activity? Bobbing for apples, a meal, a party? Make a note of it here, but we also encourage you to post information in-game (via the Discord in-game channels or by posting a notice on the Inn’s notice board once you arrive!) Logistics Logistics will be operating limited hours, and will be operating out of the side room of the Inn. The main focus of these hours will be to provide needed item cards for players to continue using their non-combat skills. No content runners will be working during this event. Logistics will be in the side room of the Inn between 12pm and 4pm on Tuesday. For other urgent concerns, please find Alice Bryson! Kitchen Use No meal service will be provided at this event. If you would like to use the kitchen please be mindful to completely clean up after yourself. Cleanup You will need to complete cleanup as per any usual event, getting cabin and camp signatures. Cleanup will take place on Wednesday between noon and 3pm. Exalted Lessons As this is a no NPC/no combat special event, please be mindful that your NPC Exalted Teachers are not being required to teach lessons. Take this time to relax and enjoy your roleplay! Alcohol Expectations Alcohol consumption will be allowed on camp for players over the age of 21. We encourage responsible consumption. We will not be limiting the amount of alcohol nor types of alcohol you can bring, but we reserve the right to ask you to stop consuming if your behavior is indicative of heavy intoxication. Marijuana for recreational use follows the same guidelines as we set forward for alcohol (no extreme intoxication), as well as our guidelines for smoking if applicable (please only smoke or vape in outside areas, away from building entrances and other people). We will be hosting a Week In The Life-style weekday event in October for players to come, hang out, and get some quality time to play and roleplay during our almost two-month break between full events. More details will be soon to come, but expect it to be an easy going time! The dates are Monday October 16th through Wednesday October 18th.

Lay off will be early, on Sunday at noon. As such, we are not running a Sunday NPC shift and Sunday content may be very limited. We ask that you are off camp before 1:30pm on Sunday. The Saturday 12pm mod will include water balloons. Don’t bring anything you don’t mind getting wet. Exalted Reminders: Please do not make or attempt to put ritual pages into your tome this month. The system is not currently working as intended and is being reworked. Friendly Rules Reminders: You can only have 1 augment of the same type active at any time unless a skill states you may have more than 1. If you have latent defenses cast on you only 1 of each specific skill can be on you at a time. Please check your consumable recipes some of them have secondary means of activating as defenses if you have talent slots. Worn armor does not automatically repair between fights if you want to keep using armor please get it repaired. Rests require you to stay in the same area for 30mins or have wanderlust. You only regain 10 skills. Movement skills do not require a hold please exit combat with you weapon straight up You cannot be immune to an attack while using the skill intercept. Gathering System: There will be a slight change to the gathering system this month while we continue to try and make it a more fun experience for you all. This month we are doing away with the 'rock' collection system and will be simplifying it.
