Earliest arrival is noon.
Check in begins at 6pm.
Lay on is at 10pm.
Lay off is Sunday at 2pm.
To help us get cleaned up after game is over in a timely manner, if you are staying either upstairs of the Inn or in the AG, your belongings must be fully packed up by noon Sunday. This doesn’t mean your things need to be removed from the space, but they should be packed and ready to go!
Community Announcements
New Player training will be held in the Inn by the fireplace at 7:30 pm Friday night. It is mandatory for all first time players to attend so you can learn important safety aspects of the game. Your character card will be signed off after attending. If you still need your card signed off from a previous game, feel free to come get signed off. Players are encouraged to stick around after if you would like a more in depth training on game mechanics. Below will be linked some helpful docs new players should utilize. Reminder to fill out your event feedback forms after the event! It is the best way to tell us what you like, dislike, etc. about the game in an official capacity.
Parking at Logistics
At this time, the only people authorized to park in the area behind or next to logistics are with direct permission from the Director, or the Officers, Safety Lead, Weekend Event Runner, and Exalted Team. Anyone else cannot leave their cars parked in that area.
Please do not park in front of the door/garage door to the area under the barn, or you will be parked in.
Early Camp Cleanup
If you are leaving early (before lay off) and need cleanup assignments, please see the Logistics Marshals. They will be able to assign you tasks to complete. Please do not see them for early cleanup if you will still be on camp at lay-off on Sunday at 2pm, and instead come to lay-off to get your assignment.
Additionally, as we have Feast this game at 6pm Saturday, you are able to report to help either (1) serve feast, (2) do dishes, or (3) assist prior to 6pm with table and plate setup in order to have your camp cleanup signed for! Please take advantage of this and help everyone have a great feast!
Exalted Rules Announcements
Many Changes to rituals have been made for quality of life, making them clearer if they are meant to be used only for the ritualist or another target. Additionally, many rituals have had the requirement to target an unbound artifact removed and may be used on artifacts bound to other characters. However, Ritual (and Rune) of Permanency remain requiring the artifact be unbound or bound to the ritualist. Please refer to your Exalted Class if it has rituals to review these changes. The following rituals have been changed in specific ways:
Ritual of the Moon
Exceptional Assistant
Siphon Essence
Metalcraft of Retaliation / Goln’s Ritual of Retaliation
Serevar's Effusion
Have been changed to last 3 months and allow once use per weekend
Ritual of the Tesseract Gate
Is now invokable
Fortify Spirit
Soul Rewrite
May no longer be invoked, and has an immediate effect instead
Scourge Talisman
Now specifies targets are Displaced out of the area.
Vitae Infusion
Will heal you even if an attack would have rendered you critical or dead.
We have standardized rules for using unusual weapons, such as flails. This can be read about here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XZfAaXkhq701o7eVEoypALbXlzLNybC1pSOin7ej54s/
We would like to remind players that if the majority of the players around you can not identify your gestures as spellcasting, it would be the equivalent of mumbling to verbally spellcast, and will be treated as a flub by Field Refs (meaning the spell would fail). It is important that players demonstrate their spellcasting for the interruption mechanic to work, and if a player is found to be poorly portraying their spellcasting roleplay they will be asked to use the verbals located in the rulebook until they demonstrate better sportsmanship in this area.
Safety Announcements
Expect extremely icy conditions throughout camp the entire event weekend, please use cautions and your best judgement when in combat and moving around camp. There will be additional updates forthcoming on the state of camp as the week progresses. If you have ice cleats or anything that would improve traction, bring them.
The Safety Team will be extremely short staffed this coming event due to scheduling conflicts and oog reasons so there will not be any on call shifts. Please have patience and grace for the members who will be present. Their contact info will be in Logistics.
It will still be very cold at night, please ensure that you’re keeping warm and well hydrated. Remember, all spaces are open to those who need to warm up.
Card Announcements
As always, Card Team will be available in the Bar room from 6p-9p Friday (during check-in) to help new players with their cards. Please be respectful of our team and do not ask them for help before hours have started. If you are a regularly attending player, please try to resolve any card issues before arriving at camp (contact us on Discord) so we can focus on helping new players!
A reminder that if you have not chosen to be part of the Armies of Light or Darkness through a qualifying exalted list (and filled out the Google form stating as such) you should NOT be swinging the assorted Flame or Frost damage types.
All signatures on cards (bank transactions, lessons, signoffs, RITUALS) must have the player's initials AND card number.
We recommend taking photos of your card before turning them in! Card team does their best, but we are only human(...ish). Photos are great for both you and us if we need to correct any mistakes.
Read your card notes!
Logistics Announcements
Please be patient with the logistics team as we all work through this new economy update. This system is new to us, as well as you all, so let's work together and get things done right.
Also, please remember that while you are in line waiting for check in, please be respectful of the marshals on duty and remain quiet while near the desk. Too much noise makes it difficult for the check in process when the Marshals cannot hear the players they are speaking to. Once you receive your character cards, please acquire your rp points and any fates you wish to buy and make your way out of logistics as to not crowd the area.
Atmosphere Announcements
Reminders from the Atmosphere Team this month!
Please stay in character.
If for some reason you need to go out of game, please do so away from other players as to not impact their immersion and gameplay.
Please do not interrupt a scene for an OOG comment unless it is absolutely necessary.
Roleplay your combat and sell your blows. It makes combat more fun for everyone.
Please do not openly use your phone. We get that there are times when you may need to check the time or check a rule, but please try to do these checks with your phone under a table or away from other players.
Please be mindful of your trash.
This event at 9pm in the inn, there will be a workshop discussing Crafting Props. Look for Larry (plays Rudolf)!
Lore Announcement
Lore Team would like to bring attention to players that many approvals or notes are starting to be placed on cards around specific topics such as: Restricted Race / Unique Species applications, Backstories, Lair, Lineage, Vanity title requests. Please check your card frequently for communication from the team. If you would like to discuss your notes please come to office hours or follow up between games. It is on the player to show initiative in this area as to help alleviate workload. Lucian will be having office hours this event from 1 PM to 2 PM Saturday and approximately 12:30 PM to 2PM Sunday. Please allow appropriate time for Lucian to arrive. Look for him at Logistics and if he's somewhere else due to weather there will be a sign there to inform where to go!
