Announcement from James
Last event we found the ovens were still left on when we went into the kitchen on Tuesday after the event. For the April 2024 event with the exception of breakfast provided by Chelsea the stoves, range, and ovens in the main inn kitchen are off limits to all players for the duration of the event. If you planned on using them to make food please find alternative plans for this event. Please note this does not include the refrigerators which are still available for storing food.
We will update you if this ban continues.
The Officers
From the Adventurer’s Guild
With the main kitchen being closed. The stove in the adventurers guild will have a sign in and out sheets for people using it. You will need to bring your own cooking implements and be responsible for cleaning up the area after use.
The kitchen will be closed at 2am Friday night, open at 9am Saturday morning and close again at 2am Saturday night and will not be available on Sunday.
Community Reminder
Remember your Ok check in systems and that it is ok to step away from more intense scenes. Thank you for your continued use of the Discords OOG check-in system as well!
Logistics Reminders
Gathering:
To gather materials, a player is encouraged to take a small group of friends (or go solo!) and engage on an expedition to find materials. There are no required locations for gathering but we would love for players to pick appropriate areas for what they are gathering! Roleplay!
The roleplay time to gather is 30 seconds per individual component.
At the end of the roleplay time, each player can return to logistics and inform the marshal at the window how long they were gathering for and what type they gathered.
Borrowing from Logistics:
If you borrowed a weapon from logistics you are required to speak to the Logistics Marshal on duty. They will make on your card and sign off on your borrowing. You must return your borrowed items to Logistics By 1pm on Sunday as that is when the last logistics shift ends. The Logistics Marshal on duty must sign off that the item was returned.
Safety Reminders
Expect the camp to be particularly muddy due to the rainy weather slated from Wednesday to Friday so be sure to dress appropriately to better keep warm and dry.
Ticks are becoming active again so be sure to take precautions via bug spray and regular tick checks, remember that they can be very small so check carefully.
Cards Announcements
Card Team will be available to help new players during check-in from 6p-9p in the bar.
Be respectful of our card team's personal needs and do not make requests of them before this time. As a note, the purpose of this check-in time is primarily to help new players (and those returning after a long hiatus). If you are a regular player, please try to get in touch with a member of Card Team before the event to handle any issues.
Read your card notes. This is the primary way for our teams to contact you and tell you important things. You are responsible for reading these notes and knowing what is in them.
Please try to get your cleanup signed off and turn your cards into the card box within a reasonable amount of time after lay-off. I know we're all tired on Sunday and want to hang out with friends, but Card Team is also tired and cannot leave until your cards are turned in.
All signatures on cards (bank transactions, lessons, signoffs, etc) must have the player's initials AND card number, without exception.
Please try to write legibly on your cards! If we can't read it, it doesn't get added.
Lore Reminder
Lucian will be having Open Office Hours from 10 am to Noon Saturday and 9 am to 11 am Sunday. Please use this time to ask him questions about Restricted Race Applications, Backstories, lineages/lairs/vanity titles, Exalted roleplay and similar. Do not make requests of him regarding these things during active gameplay.
Exalted Rules Announcements
If you have successfully performed Ritual of Time Stop, please make a note on your card of your success chance and ritual failure result, as this determines the success of rituals you use Time Stop to do. If you can’t provide this information, you will be assumed to have performed the ritual with your minimum chance of success, and have rolled an exact number to not fail it (which may negatively impact your ability to use Time Stop to perform rituals).
If you have the Legendary Passive of any class with rituals, including Sorcerer, all rituals learned in order to qualify for that legendary are a base chance of 80%.
The ritual Expel from Lair may not be performed at all in a room larger than 20 x 20 feet, particularly this applies to public spaces including the Main and Bar Room of the Inn, as well as the Main Room of the Adventurer's Guild. The rooms upstairs in the Inn, or Side rooms in the Adventurer’s Guild may benefit from the ritual. Additionally, any space outdoors of 20 x 20 feet may benefit from this.
