War Games Commander Flags

The following is a joint message from the Council of Travance:

Subjects of Travance,

We are looking to compile a list of those who would be interested in carrying a Commander flag for the upcoming war game. Some of you have volunteered already, but we wanted to remind everyone who may have missed the call in the longer posting about the rules.

There is a set number of Commander flags and they are worth a lot of points in the scoring of the game. They’re not meant to be transferred between people (with the exception of when you are performing your typical duties to the Barony), so you would need to be committed to carrying and defending the flag for the entire duration of the games. For those of you who like to be in the thick of things, these flags are high-value targets, so this is an excellent opportunity to engage actively in the game!

For those who want this same kind of opportunity, but do not want or are unable to commit to carrying a Commander flag for the duration, there will also be Division flags that can be carried/defended as needed for shorter periods of time. If you have some plans already concerning Division flags, you can send a missive to a Councillor, or meet us at the war map in the Dragon’s Claw Inn at the start of Feast.

We will be choosing our Commanders carefully. If you volunteer to take a Commander flag and turn it over to the enemy for the sake of personal gain, including for favors or treasure, we will be treating this as if you are working for Danarest outside of the rules of the games and you will be punished to the full extent of the law for aiding an enemy of Travance.

((OOG: The flags are meant to spread around “spotlight” time among as many players are possible, so we’d really appreciate it if people who volunteer for the Commander flags keep that in mind. If you don’t think you’ll be that active during the event, consider picking up a Division flag at some point instead!))
