I’m sure a number of you have already been informed about the situation with the dragon eggs, but for the sake of making sure everyone is on the same page, I’m going to recap what happened:
One of the dragon eggs was stolen on Saturday night when we were fighting Alverez and his men. A group of us found it in the woods with a note telling us to take better care of them. When it was scried, we all received a vision of a creature that we thought was Amatoth, but it was believed to be an illusion, which we have good authority to believe is true. The note promptly crumbled into nothing.
After this, Kieran attempted to commune with his dragon spirit and felt something push back against him when he went too deep. His connection with his spirit was temporarily interrupted. Aiki also attempted to commune with his ancestral spirits but felt pushback. At that time, we decided to make one last attempt to get answers, Kieran, Aiki, Mae Fong, and Dr. James poured their power into me and I reached out to Fiona and the spirits of past paladins to see if I could find out what is happening. But Fiona was not who answered me.
Everyone fell unconscious and woke up somewhere dark and cold. We spoke with an entity that would not identify itself, however, it stated that it was an ally with the same goal as us. What it told us was that time is quickly running out for the dragon eggs to hatch and that if we do not act quickly, then time will run out. After awhile, Fiona pulled us back to our bodies. I have reason to believe that this entity was telling the truth.
With all of that being said, the window to usher in a new age of dragons is rapidly closing. If we want this to happen, we need to act now. We have met with the count and he will release the Verdrane Blades from his vaults. Each needs to be delivered to its anchor point in order for us to begin the process of hatching the eggs. This means we’re going to need to divide our efforts to be successful. Everyone needs to spend the next few weeks preparing for journeys to distant lands and doing research to ensure our efforts are successful. Here are the different groups that will be deployed.
Journeying to Honor’s Peak
This group will be led by Olivia and Aiki who is carrying the fire Verdrane Blade Radiziel. The anchor point is believed to be a volcano near Honor’s Peak; this needs to be confirmed. We will likely need to pinpoint the exact location of the volcano and prepare supplies to ensure that everyone can safely traverse the area. Information on the types of creatures that live in that area may also be helpful.
Journeying to Winterdark
This group will be led by Angelina, Gras, and Haytham, who will be carrying the ice Verdrane Blade Maelstrom. The anchor point is at Mirrormere Lake in Winterdark. Similarly, supplies and research are going to be needed for this group to safely traverse this area.
Journeying to Vardemir
This group will be led by me and Kiran, who will be carrying the lightning Verdrane Blade Hastingale. We will need to know where exactly within the city the anchor point is. I could also use help with the ritual to open the gate to Verdrane, as my magic skills are pretty abysmal.
A Journey to the Mountains
One of our townsperson, Uralt, left awhile ago to deliver the earth Verdrane Blade Wardterran to a certain mountain. I’m not entirely sure where this mountain is located, so this may need to be researched. We would preferably like to send a group to this anchor point to ensure that the blade was delivered safely.
Researching the Barrier
It was pointed out that we will need researchers and scholars to pinpoint the exact coverage of the barrier produced by placing the swords. A task force dedicated to this would also be to our benefit.
After this is accomplished, Mirrormere will instruct us further on where and how to hatch the eggs. Please feel free to decide which group your talents and skills will be best applied in. Once we have our groups decided, we can divide up and begin preparing for our respective missions. This will take place over the next week or so. Please let ask if you have any questions. I’m sure the dragoons would be more than happy to answer to the best of their ability.
Sincerely,
Sir Odette D. Lucatiel
Based on Kaydens summary it seems that the smallest group is the one going to confirm Wardterran’s successful placement. I’ll add myself to that group to round out our forces.

-Lokthar
Sir Odette
I believe I can assist in the researching of the barrier.
Signed,
Squire Maliouse
Hello all,
I would like to just post a reminder here of everyone who has signed up to help with the Winterdark mission so far.
Winterdark - Maelstrom:
Led by Angeliana, Gras, and Haytham
Research by Eden
Assisted by Mieshi, Keladry, Wili, Seth, Django, Winter, Bengarion, Ulfbjorn, Reyna, Aldric, Marika.
If you're willing to volunteer to help with a group, I would kindly suggest making sure the other teams are also sufficiently covered.
Thank you everyone for your offers of help and assistance in this matter, it is greatly appreciated.
May the light guide your paths and keep you all safe.
With love and respect,
Dame Angeliana, The Heart of Winterdark
High Priestess of Andorra
If it is not too late, I will be joining the group to Winterdark. For Amalthea, the original bearer of Maelstrom, I will ensure it is where it needs to be.
Marika Korsova Laurent Belmont
High Priestess of Galmachis
If more are needed to venture to Winterdark I can lend a hand. I make a poor scholar but I can guard a thing well enough. In service to the Light. Chaplain Aldric, Champion of Valos Baronial Inquisition
I cannot leave Travance for too long, but I'm happy to lend a hand guarding the eggs and doing research, and making very good coffee for the other folks doing the same.
Sir Odette,
Thank you for sharing these plans. It would mean the world to me if I could assist with Maelstrom in Winterdark.
I recently learned that my draconic spirit is the same one that Amalthea possessed before her obliteration in the Maw. Given that she once carried that blade, I wish to assist there to help carry on that legacy.
Through Silver,
Reyna
I see no issue with the above proposals. We were too lax in our care for the eggs that we could not even attempt to stop what happened. Extra security for them shouldn.t be an issue, and if the count charged you in protecting them Alexei, and as you stated that you do not intend to betray the count and his wishes, all the better.. We all need to work together to ensure this plan works, and our efforts combined should make it so. Best of luck and keep yourselves safe as well.
-Kieran Briste-Laoch, Squire of Kormyre.
It is not my intention to accuse anyone of anything. There is no harm that I can see in taking precautions for the future to ensure nothing like this happens again.
I am content with Nesterin's proposal, and welcome any who wish to assist us. It is clear to me that not all of you trust me, but I assure you that I do not intend to move against Count Everest and Mirrormere's decisions about the eggs. Perhaps, in this time, we will come to understand each other better.
Alexei Nox Malagan,
The Ebon Hound
Alexei has a point though. His grace did put Alexei in charge of, at least one of, their protection when we first retrieved them. Their growth was not dependent on their caretaker but where they traveled and what they experienced. I second his motion to be more secure with whom we hand off the eggs to. If for some reason someone very desperately wants to hold the eggs they should be designated a chaperone of sorts. This way, at the very minimum, we have two guards on the eggs at one time.
Based on some very preliminary research keeping them in travance, in my opinion, is the safest place. And if Alexei is offering his services and taking back up his mantle as their protectors, so decreed by his grace, I say let him do so. In no way is anyone here saying this mistake wasn't an accident. Nor are we saying they are irredeemable of their actions. But now that we know what state the eggs are in, we need a tighter grip on them.
How about this, while the majority of the dragoons are taking the blades to where they need to go we do this. Amhran and Alexei will guard the opal egg and I will ensure the safety of the Sardonyx with Reece. Any who wish to accompany us while we do so are welcome to but they will stay within arms each of both of us. That way if anything goes wrong we can handle it and everyone will know to whom they are with. When you all return we can discuss this further with how we all want to proceed.
This seems safest in my opinion
-Ser Nesterin
First Knight of Alisandria
Some time ago, before my journey took me away from Travance, His Grace entrusted me with the protection of one of the eggs (with the understanding that, under pain of death, the eggs were not to leave Travance - nor be forcefully taken from me.) But Fate had other plans for me. Now that I have returned, I intend to honor that agreement once again.
I will remain in Travance to care for the eggs. To whomever else is taking up this duty: we cannot allow this to happen again. No more passing the eggs about to whoever comes along first. While the others bear the blades to their resting places, we must establish a new plan. Until then, I will not be separated from my charge.
Alexei Nox Malagan,
The Ebon Hound
I have had a lot of experience with the blades in various hands, and will assist in whichever endevour regarding the blades themselves.
I will ask Arawyn where I should go
Sir Odette,
I would like to aid those going to Winterdark, unless I'm needed elsewhere. You'll have my shield and sword to lend assistance
Sincerely,
Squire Ulfbjorn Ragnarsson
Best of luck to you all who are making the journeys out into the world, as Kieran mentioned the Verdrane Blades themselves can be used as dowsing rods to find their anchor points when near the location. I will be joining Nesterin in guarding the eggs, perhaps we can work on making a more refined version of the draconic barrier ritual we did to protect the ivory tower ritual.
- Amhrán Briste-Laoch
House Aralune
For what it is worth I will be heading to Winterdark, though I am keeping an eye on the size of the group heading to Honor's peak.
Bengarion
I would be happy to help with the expedition to Honor's Peak. As a former Ruby and a former secondary for that blade, I would like to be there for it's final rest along with the rest of you if you would have me. May Fate Guide You - Dr. Peaches Shirotsuke MazoKisei
Squire of Kormyre and Baronial Inquisitor
I'm volunteering myself for the Honor's Peak group.
I'm also suggesting Kanas go with this group specifically due to him being one of the previous wielders of Radiziel, rather than having him join the group for the mountains.
- Maria Quincy
I feel as though I could help most with the Winterdark group, While I’m still recovering from getting eaten, i feel as though I could help with things other than combat.
