(OOG Note: Written on parchment with a few muddy thumbprints --- Not Ravyn*)
To the Witch Hunters and those who Shine for Galladel,
It has been a few months since a small group of you came to our meadow. We are well. Thank you for providing us the insight to nourish ourselves with the power of the bloom as it stands, rooted in place, rather than trying to cut it and take it for ourselves individually. You taught us an invaluable lesson. We hold our town meetings in the meadow now, among the flowers, where all participants can be clear of mind. The sunshine does wonders for us and all are able to see and hear the proceedings. Though we are few, we are happy.
We were never able to figure out how to make the seeds take root. They are beyond us and even our oldest gardener could not make a single leaf or petal take shape, but you did - Lorelai, Huntress of Galladel. I remember your name. You stood beside our flower, channeling wave after wave of energy, and it stood taller, a petal took shape unlike any time before, and it felt... Right.
That day, we granted you two flowers from our meadow: one fully bloomed, and one just sprouted from seed, but still attempting to unfurl. You all had noted that you had need of the one in bloom. I hope it served you as our flower has served us. Looking back on the one trapped as a bud, I remember my feelings of sadness. To be forever in darkness, unable to open upward and outward and see the light... I had watered and nurtured it. Cut a path for the sun to wrap it in a warm glow, but it never opened for me. I hope that for you, it will. It seems that it takes time and great effort given the experiments you all performed, but I know if anyone can accomplish this task, it's you all.
Our town has named the flower, given that it has never been seen before and it possesses important qualities, and we thought it fitting to name it after the one who brought such calm to us after many suffered afflictions of the mind and heart.
Huntress' Harmony
To Lorelai:
May your journey to find that which makes these seeds take root fulfill you. Though it may be difficult, we hope that it is as rewarding for you as it is for us.
In closing, I wanted to take this time to thank the people of Travance who came - who brought hope back to me when I needed it most. To the Witch Hunters in training who gave their all, the industrious magic user who made rainfall, the Nyad who went deeper than ever before to find the secrets of the flower, and the ones who gave everything they had to save what we hold dear: Your determination that day is something I cannot forget.
My sincerest thanks to you.
Signed,
A Humble Grave Digger and Servant of Galladel
