My dear fellow subjects of Travance,
Most of us are familiar with the horrible atrocities committed by the Valosian heretic, Father Jonathan O'Malley, one of the leaders of the Blazing Sun. With regard to his seeking repentance, I have had direct contact with him during my "stay" at the Blazing Sun compound about a year ago. I am open to the possibility of his sincerity, but justice would require that he redress his crimes. Whether or not you too would trust his sincerity is not of greatest importance with regard to his up and coming visitation this Friday. Of greatest importance is the safety and return of Piloff, who is dear to all of us in the Barony. Also of importance is protecting the world against the machinations of the false pontiff, Michael Halligan, Doctor Thomas Kristophsky, and the other Blazing Sun. Let us keep these things foremost in our minds before taking action against O'Malley and walk with care in our dealings.
Any who are concerned about Piloff and discuss the proper pathway to their safety, let us meet on Friday night before O'Malley arrives. In the Dragon's Claw Inn, immediately upon the start of this moon's baronial feast weekend, let us meet in the context of a Liturgy. Those of all faiths (or no faith) are invited and welcomed. The "sermon" will consist of open interaction to determine the best course of action. May the gods aid our cause. I will offer the blessing of Valos; any other priest who would wish to join with this endeavor is welcomed.
May the Light guide your path,
Father Ephrem,
The Heart of Valos,
Primus of the Church of Light in Travance
Father Ephrem,
I applaud using foresight before dealing with such a man as O'Malley. However, I just wish to remind everyone involved that the Law of Kormyre also is involved in this decision- and in fact, has the final say. As this would involve the Magistrate who is also a man of religion, I do not speak for him- I just wanted to ensure that the Travancians attending this meeting do not believe that what is decided at this time will necessarily be the outcome of this man.
-Signed,
Lt. Allyce of the Baronial Guard
Father Ephrem, When I promised Kieren I'd do anything to help get Piloff I did not expect it to involve attending a liturgy. I would humbly accept your invitation to attend this planning session and am appreciative of your willingness to host it. While I am unfamiliar with the intricacies of Valosian inter-faith politics I am fair with strategy and know a thing or two about bounty hunters. I hope I can be of assistance and am willing to follow your lead when it comes to interactions with O'Malley. Your friend, Cade Tanwyn
