Good afternoon fellow Travancians! We are pleased to inform you that we will be bringing back the Squire/Knight tournament this year! Saturday, Nov 6th at 2 pm we will begin gathering at the jousting field with a plan to start the first match around 2:30.
Rules
-Participants will enter as a Knight/Squire pairing. Squireless knights may ask anyone they wish to fight with them (it is encouraged that this be someone you are considering as a squire). If a Knight is unable to participate for whatever reason, they may ask someone else to step in for them. Lords/Ladies with their squires also count.
-All that wish to participate must sign up by Friday night for their name to be entered onto the list. There will be sign-up forms located at the Dragon’s Claw both before and during feast. If both entered participants are not there by the time their fight begins on Saturday, their names will be removed from the listing.
-All participants may fight to their full potential. HOWEVER, we are not here to actually kill each other. Please make sure that you do not cause someone to need a resurrection.
-Each fight will go until either both members of a team are either knocked out, unable to take any actions for three minutes, or have yielded.
Entry Fee/Prizes
This year, we are asking for a 10 gold entry fee per person. This will be going into a prize pool that will be given to the winning team.
How It Will Work
This will be a single-elimination tournament. Pairs will be randomly matched up and the losing team will be eliminated until we have one team left. Once the Knights and their Squires have completed their portion of the tournament, we will be having a free-for-all melee fight that anyone may participate in for a chance at bragging rights!
In addition to the tournament, we are encouraging each of the lands to send additional representatives. There has been a lot of newer faces in town as of late, and we would love for people to be available to speak with them about the various lands and groups available around the Proper.
This year, we are using this tournament to test the waters and showcase the format we hope to use for a future tournament that will have open participation! So please, come watch us and tell us what you think afterward! We will have more information about that in the coming months!
Please sign under this paper if you are interested or have any questions. Thank you,
Squire Keladry Aybara of Drega'Mire
Private of the Baronial Guard
If any team wishes to participate in the tournament, but does not have the gold for the entry fee, I am willing to cover it.

Ladies,Lord's, and subjects of these lands,
I, Budang, A soldier of the Koramyrian army would off my Sword and Shield skills in martial prowess for any existing chivalry without squire or man at arms. My previous general Magnus and Brother Akiki can more then vouch for my prowess in both singles and melee combat. I offer this free of any monetary compensation, as a knight of Travance is a knight of this kingdom, and to which the king I serve.
