Travance,
Usually if I am asking for aid, it is for someone else or for the sake of Travance and Kormyre. But today I am asking for your assistance on my own behalf.
My condition is worsening. Being separated from fate as long as I have been is taking its toll. I am becoming a Figment and fading from existence. I do not know what may happen to me if a way to reconnect me to the tapestry is not discovered. For you all, I know that over time, you will forget me, no matter how close we may be. Several Travancians are currently tethering me to their fates to slow the progression of this.
I recently was drawn into a meeting with several beings who have an interest in my condition, Both Devariatus, the Dark Arani and Callixto, a Lorestri have offered me paths forward. But neither is without a catch. I will not be beholden to or kneel to any who considers themselves a 'higher power'.
I have two months before I need to give them both an answer. I implore you, if you have the time, ability, contacts; if any path seems open to you to help me find a third path, please reach out to me directly through the constructs I am leaving behind, You will have my gratitude and a gold reward for any information located, And if thats not enough, I would advise you to remember exactly how many times I have saved each of you; saved Travance; saved Kormyre. Your existence as you know it will be greatly impacted if I fade away.
With hope and thanks,
Dr. Selby Wainwright
Viceroy of Albriar
As far as I am able, I will help you Doctor Selby Wainwright; if at least for the sake that it is right and just to do.
Father Ephrem
Selby, As noted by our singular friend in that meeting - mortals have the capacity to impact fate with choices. In fact, I'd say the choices of mortals are the building blocks of fate. It stands to reason that making choices and connections are the best way to shift things in your favor. Considering that while you can't impact fate, you are bound to people who *can,* if they are generating actions around you, then aren't they in essence making it so you are impacting fate? That would mean your choices are becoming a part of those building blocks. Essentially we're building connection points in fate for you to exist. Admittedly we're still going to need something to tether those points, but we also need to create the points to do it right? - Jackdaw.
Though I know nothing of fate, really, I have a few ideas. What Devariatus or Callixto said sparked an idea, I can't remember which said it honestly. I have a few people I need to talk to first but when I get a solid idea together I will present it to you and get your permission and opinion before trying anything. -Nesterin
I've got a few plans, some of which I think are your fault for us being so linked these past few months because I think they're closer to 'mad scientist' in thought than 'mad sorcerer'. But regardless I'll always suggest we forge our own path. Gods and masters only make you weaker.

Just so we have all the details, would you be willing to share what paths Callixto and that piece of dung, Devariatus, have offered you? It may help give us a little bit more context for what the current options are so we can find different things.
I'll start brainstorming and see if I can come up with anything.

As one of those who has now tied their fate to yours, I will always stand by your side and aid you however I can. You still owe me a mad science lesson after all.~ Your Friend, Kieran Briste-Laoch
Dr. Selby, my talents are unlikely to assist with a task such as this. I am merely a sailor with a limited understanding of fates, magics, or gods. However I will offer to contribute additional gold for the reward for useful information. Perhaps that would help motivate those who are more skilled and knowledgeable of these sorts of topics.
additionally if you have need of any hands on assistance please know I would be glad to help.
while we are not well aquatinted I have always held you in high regard and have only ever heard good things about you from our many mutual friends.
All the "gods" will try and get you to sign their contract. From Fiona to Malyc, they're all the same. They want tools. No one should kneel. I'll help you kill them, if you want. -Seth
I'm sorry, does anyone know who this person is? They seem to be claiming a position of authority among the land of Albriar, but I have never heard of this person before. Clearly, one way or another, they seem to need help.

Selby,
I am a simple lizard. I do not know much of fate, or the intricacies of the Arani or Lorestri.
But if my weirdness, my ties to Arawyn, or even just my blades and shield, can help you in any way, you have but to tell me when and where. I know you're not one for nature, but you do live on this plane...so if "grounding" you to Arawyn could help at all, my offer still stands.
Aside from that, I just offer my friendship, support, hugs if you want them, and possibly some crisis cheese.
Annora
Hello Dr. Selby
While I may not have been able to ever meet you I offer my help. As I am only a bard in training I doubt I will be much help but I will offer anyway if you need.
Sincerely, Birdie
