Important Information Gathered on what we are facing - Travancians Please Read!!!

Subjects of Travance,

As you have already been informed by the Magistrate on these boards, we are facing a great peril once again and it is critical that all information we have gathered be shared to everyone so that we may face this threat together and insure success of the best possible outcome.

For this purpose, I volunteered to quill the facts down and consulted my peers who have also gathered information or had visions related to the threat. I will do my best to relay all of the information here plainly and without any personal feelings attached.

There is a cult who call themselves “The Order of Concordance Sacrosanct.” They are coming to Travance and we aren’t sure how close they are precisely.

Information compiled on The Order of Concordance Sacrosanct is as follows:

Their Leader: “The Consul”

Their second in command: “The Praetor” Hewitor Osicarius

“The Hand”: Name unknown, sent to Travance by the Consul to enact their “mandate”, to erect the Lodestones (information below) on a larger scale and prepare for their plans, as well as bring Order members to Travance against Travancian resistance.

“The Mandate”: Referred to as a mission, a goal to be accomplished to achieve “The Return”, which also is referred to by “The Return of Tranquility” in the name of ‘peace’. The Consul states “only evil would oppose their mandate” and as such he will “welcome all to join the Order”

“Interlopers”: Is what they call us Travancians.

“The Anrosia”: It is some special quality they sought out in the subjects of their experiments. It is referred to as being ruined somehow within Subject L, due to the ritual (information below) being interrupted, but not completely gone. It is also referred to as being present in Lady Illana Darkwood of Pendarvin, to whom they refer to by “our boon” or “The Eagle”.

“The Eagle”: Lady Illana Darkwood of Pendarvin, who is currently their captive but is alive and healthy, being kept unconscious due to her abilities. They refer to her “Anrosia” as needing time to fully manifest, due to her soul shifting when Travancians interrupted the Rite of Erosion (information below) last moon. “The Hand” is apparently investigating this for them. Travancians have located a set of cavern systems throughout our lands, which this cult is using to hold their captives. They are utilizing gate runes to jump between them to avoid discovery and capture.

“The Rite of Erosion”: This is the name of the ritual the cult performed last moon on “Subject L” (information below) which was interrupted. Its purpose or intended end result is unknown but we do know they need someone with “The Anrosia” as a subject to perform it successfully.

“Subject L”: The Corpse Harvester: The result of the interrupted Rite of Erosion performed on Elisaar. (More information on the Corpse Harvester below)

The leader of this cult, a man they call “Consul” is the man who took Lady Talaniel Starling of Drega’mire when she was but a child. He and his order have kidnapped, tortured, and experimented on her brother by blood; Elisaar, for at least a year prior to last moon. This order was performing a ritual on him last moon when a group of Travancians interrupted it and altered its intended result. Instead creating the being we now call: The Corpse Harvester.

“The Corpse Harvester”: Is physically the mortal body of a Quinarian elf, into which two soul harvesters were shoved by forcing it back and forth through the veils between the prime material realm and the spirit realm. It appears that the Corpse Harvester is continuing to traverse between these realms, seemingly at random, against its own will, and with tremendous pain caused to it. The Corpse Harvester can do this because it itself is a sort of moving gateway, a door, or tear between the two realms. It constantly creates small tears in the Spirit Realm as it moves. The Corpse Harvester is striking with a soul severing blow when it hits its targets, rendering them dead in the physical and tarnished in the spiritual realms. During the Corpse Harvesters creation, the unstable energy seems to have also damaged and unraveled a plethora of innocent souls that were caught up in the Ritual. This has left those Souls shattered into many pieces. We will need to gather the splintered physical manifestations of these tormented souls and find a way to reforge them. Once we find a way to reforge them and manage to do so, we will then need to shove these souls back through the moving tear that is the Corpse Harvester itself. Elisaar confirmed (through astral projection and communing with some of our healers) that this has to be achieved for those souls’ torment to end and for them to be able to move on. Please do your best to avoid being near or being struck by The Corpse Harvester. It is better to distract it or lead it away until we can collect all the tormented soul fragments and re-forge them, and then put them through the Gateway at a safe distance.

If any being who dies from being struck by this soul-severing blow from the Corpse Harvester is resurrected, the soul will remain with a terrible torment and the new body created for the soul will suffer a form of a soul sickness. This condition we call; Tormented Soul Sickness (Abbreviated as TSS), will need to be cured for the soul’s torment to stop and the body’s suffering, malnourished state to end. I, Angeliana, personally know this can be achieved, I will need help researching how and will most likely need a subject suffering from it to examine and try the cure on.

The Corpse Harvester’s existence continually causes the leylines damage. There is something wrong with them and they are not working as they normally would. In their current state, resurrections can only be performed AT the healing phokus itself, where the leylines converge the most between the two realms. The Healing Phokus currently resides within the Alisandria State House. An Angel of Galladel, named Thasuen, is currently ensuring that the leylines don’t suffer any further damage. They might make themselves known to us when the time comes, however this is unsure since their focus is to contain the amount of damage currently being suffered by the leylines. Thasuen also spoke of a divine artifact of Galladel which was used to bring souls to Galladel’s judgment called; The Lantern of Guiding Twilight.

The Order has found a way to, perhaps permanently, chain souls to a magical construct, rendering them unable to be guided to Eodra. These corrupted constructs are called Lodestones. If a Lodestone is erected in an area, souls will be trapped and therefore won’t be able to leave unless carried out by the aforementioned Lantern. The order uses these tormented soul fragments as ritual components or to obliterate them to draw direct power from them or create items of power. They can not be permitted to do so. We need to prevent this from happening as much as possible.

Furthermore; currently, all souls who wander are lost, unable to see healers or find their way to Galladel’s gates. Lost in darkness, simply awaiting obliteration. They must be guided by a guiding light, The Lantern of Guiding Twilight, and avoid the Corpse Harvester or the Order’s attempts to stop them. We have a scroll in our possession, entrusted to us by Thasuen, with instructions on how to create and use this Lantern. The Lantern is capable of protecting souls, transporting them and empowering resurrections when it resides in the Dragon’s Claw Inn. It can only be carried by someone connected to the powers of the leylines; healers. And it taxes them immensely the longer they continue holding it. All healers willing to hold or carry The Lantern are welcome to do so, but it will drain you and leave you defenseless as it will require tremendous amounts of focus to keep your connection constant to the leylines and your healing powers flowing into it. We will need to set up a rotation of the willing healers to plan the passing of The Lantern for once a healer has been depleted of their energies and can no longer hold onto it. We estimate that point to be about one full bell’s time. That healer will then need to regain their energy potentials for the next three full bells worth of time before they can carry or hold the Lantern again. The construction of this divine artifact as soon as possible is crucial to our survival. ALL help on gathering its components and help in constructing it, is more than welcome. We need this artifact and your help to survive. This needs to be accomplished the moment we arrive at Travance proper, as the first order of business.

All who are good at research, please focus your studies on a cure for Tormented Soul Sickness, The construction of the Lantern of Guiding Twilight, the Lodestones, The Corpse Harvester, and The Order of the Concordance Sacrosanct.
