**Not Caelvan**
Greetings everyone. With so many new faces in town over the past year I wanted to bring to your attention a holiday that the people of the sands celebrate all this month of October. This holiday's name is Halahj’awen and occurs throughout this month.
The people of the sands in the ancient past vanquished a powerful undead pharaoh and to commemorate this, we use this month to both honor those heroes who vanquished him, as well as mock the failure of this pharaoh and his minons. We do this by dressing as these historical figures in this month, as well as placing skeletal figures around our homes and partaking in sweets(to symbolize the pharaohs treasures won by the heroes).
If you dress as the heroes(as I am sure some of you will) act out your acts of bravery! If you dress as the undead pharaoh or his minions, be sure to do what you can to mock their failure. I invite all of Travance to partake in this holiday throughout this month, whether you are in the Proper or not, if you want to participate, please do! I enjoy bringing this type knowledge to Travance.
If you have questions on this holiday, feel free to post below and I will do my best to answer them. Sadly, I will not be able to join you in person as I celebrate this holiday at home in the sands, but I will have someone send me your questions, and my answers. I invite you to seek out others from the sands who can more than likely give you some ideas and insight in what their family did/does for Halahj’awen.
However, feel free to have some candy(if there are any left, please don't take all of it for one person)

OOG: **A large bowl of candy is below this notice, and periodically gets refilled until the end of October**
Ah I miss this holiday at home. Enjoy it dear friend, I will be in Travance and try and maintain many of the traditions from home. Safe travels, I await many stories.
