This is a notice that shortly after the Travance vs Danarest wargames, the Weave Cairn was attacked and infected by an aberrant force. Three red crystals growing in the cairn seem to be growing from the collected ambient energy in the area, so I strongly advise avoiding casting any spells or rituals near or around it. I am currently studying the effects to begin formulating a plan to reverse the damage.
The corruption of the site should be studied and viewed from an unconventional standpoint, as the conventional means are not appropriate for the type of infection that is present. While reasonably I could remove the corruption with enough effort in the moment, I believe studying the infection will provide significant insight into fighting back against the creature(s) that have caused it.
For the time being, warn others to stay clear of the site unless they are actively investigating the situation.

Investigation Update: The being who has taken over the Cairn is named Xixially. At the current rate of growth, the crystals will be ready for whatever it has planned in roughly two months.
We've got a couple options in how to deal with it, including sending it to Myrinod, but they all hinge on some information we're looking to collect soon. Xixially is currently in the Rift, somewhere near the Ruins of Tyre. I plan to meet with this being sometime in the near future to make some determinations about what our possible course of actions may be.
To make matters potentially worse, we were being scryed upon by an Arcane Son. Details about their involvement and to what degree are still uncertain.

Reyna, Nesterin, and any other interested parties, I'll need a week or so to get some things in order. My usual suppliers won't be in the area for some time, so I need to travel to get some of the things I'll personally need for the investigation. I should be back by mid April, so I'd say the 15th at 2pm is as good as any other day. If anyone would like to make more empirical observations of the growth of the crystals or any other changes in the cairn, I would appreciate the information, and it may come in handy.

Aleister, I possess a copy of their ritual used to corrupt your cairn, but it is beyond my ability to decipher. I will get it to you at the earliest possible opportunity.

Do we have an idea of roughly how far this corruption or degradation of magic occurs from the site? Is it contained relatively within or does it spread out beyond?
I have no idea what this could do to Weaveborn but I plan on staying away and am curious what sort of berth I should give the site. -Nesterin
As one of the individuals that encountered the people doing this ritual at the Weave Cairn, be very wary. They seem to be belong to some psionic cult (yes maybe another one) that worship a being called "The All Seeing," or something like that. My brother and I helped look after 2 people who came into town before the above incident as they had dreams about said being and were shortly attacked by others who seemingly answered the call they rightfully chose to ignore. A giant possibly yellow eye seems to be the calling card of this group, rather cliché if you ask me.
Regardless, keep your wits about you as I managed to embarrassingly have my mind controlled when trying to help with the issue at the Cairn. It was a simple enough thing to break, but embarrassing nonetheless.
If any new info is learned, I suggest sharing with the rest of the town. -Kieran Briste-Laoch Squire to the Lord General.
