Hello everyone.
Some of you joined me on a lesson from The Trickster last feast in which we fought Blights known as Nightstalkers. Upon killing them we were given a vision of The Guardian Aspect, as well as in the same vision being shown a different group of Nightstalkers in a forest with a sickly and scarred Bear.
This Bear is one of 5 known Viotknutkyns, otherwise translated to Corrupted Claws. Those of us who have been in Travance for a while will remember these as the following: The Bear, The Coyote, The Wolf, The Crow and The Mountain Lion.
For those who do not know what Viotknutkyns are, they are an extremely strong type of Blight. They come into being by an individual, often a Druid or Ranger, choosing to perform a ritual to blight a certain trophy of an animal, this could be feathers, a pelt, antlers, etc. From the completion of this ritual onward, it "gifts" them with both a longer life, as well as the ability to transform between the creature of the trophy, and their original form at will. Their animal form being stronger than the natural counterpart with all intelligence and cunning of the person.
The 5 we have met in the past, are as follows:
The Bear was slain, but has since been "replaced" in this "Corrupted Claw Pack".
The Wolf was slain, and as of this posting has not been "replaced" to my knowledge.
The Coyote is still alive.
The Mountain Lion is still alive. If any of you remember a former townsmember named Skarrosh they are one and the same.
The Crow is still alive. Many may have heard the name Mikhail the Crow, this is the same creature/individual.
The above list is subject to change with new information.
Now. We need information. The vision showed that the Corrupted Claw Pack is stirring again. We have notes on how to deal with them prior to all the changes with the Weave and prior to the Ivory Tower returning. But we have no idea if those current methods will still work, or if there is a better method. I plan on researching this and ask anyone who wishes to help to look for answers as well.
To assist in research, this is how we used to be able to deal with them: - Germinate the ground under them, after a continuous minute or so, the druidic energy would force them into their person form.
- After they are forced into the person form, you rip away the pelt, cloak, etc. to stop them from transforming.
- You kill the person form, and once they are dead, destroy the pelt.
If you have any questions regarding this topic, or any questions on Blight in general please post below, or reach out and I will do my best to inform you.

I will be by your side as usual, when it pertains to Blight. I will pass this information to anyone I cross path’s with, whom has the interests in this matter.
