Lord Gideon Weaveforger, Third Son of House Weaveforger of Quinaria, Husband to Lady Kleidin du Tenkukai Laurent-Belmont, Exemplar of the Pegasus Fernosti of the Red Strand, Knight of the Kingdom of Kormyre, Esteemed Lord of Kaladonia, Former Knight Protector of Pendarvin, Former Master of Arms of Travance, Former Master of the Mage's Guild, Former Priest of Brazen, and Hero of Travance has passed on from this mortal-plane.
The Kaladonian Lord laid his life down as he had lived it; in the selfless service and defense of his friends, comrades, family, and the very Good of Arawyn itself. Lord Weaveforger took to the field for the last time on the evening of October 1st 1222. He joined the fight alongside his loyal Travancian comrades and countrymen on the Citrine Isles of Sevenlore. In the heat of battle he was mortally wounded by the Commodore of the Dread-Iron Fleet. The Dread Commodore had come to the Citrine Isles to plunder and pilfer the Sevenite vaults for their arcane secrets. The Fleet utilized a devastating weapon known as a weavestorm to shred the Weave across the islands and leave her defenseless to the Obsidian assault. Lord Weaveforger braved the metaphysical hurricane regardless, and upon sacrificing his own life, joined with his exemplar quelling the Weavestorm and turning the tide of battle.
The Commodore's forces, scattered and routed in the aftermath, left their iniquitous commander exposed to a killing blow by Serr Kestrel, Knight and Warlord of Kaladonia, who ended the fiend rightly and avenged her former lord.
On a personal note,
The Weave has gained one of the greatest servants of the common good I think this world will ever come to know. Selfless, pragmatic, generous, loyal, wise, kind, and stalwart-- these words seem shallow in depicting the noble and man I had the honor of serving under and alongside over the years. There are no words I can write in common tongue that can depict the profundity of this loss. I am no poet and would not wish to offend Brazen with further middling attempts here. Instead the bells of the Cathedral districts of Stonefall will ring out at the Hours of Mourning for a fortnight and a day while more formal vigils and observations are organized. For those wishing to attach their own remembrances beneath this missive, such things are welcome.
For those with further questions regarding this matter, they may send such missives privately to my offices or seek out others involved in this matter who would field them.
In Remembrance and Service,
Magistrate Robert Tzaareth
Lord Gideon was a friend and a mentor. I did not bear witness to his sacrifice, but I will never forget it. He was a true Hero.
