Mistakes:
Using things from Klarington Everest to power his experiments
Assumed the brothers would remain loyal to him
Assumed that Travance would not have a soft spot for a group of brothers who announced that they were being forced to attack the town by their father who didn’t care if they lived or died
Letting his “children” spend an exceeding amount of time interacting with Travance
Letting Travance spend an exceeding amount of time interacting with his “children”
Accidentally blowing up Chymera
Tried to save the pandas
Assumed the Pandas in Arawyn were endangered even though no one had heard of them before he tried to save them
Whatever he created while trying to save the Pandas, resulting in us having to save him from his creations
Tried to solve world hunger
Assumed world hunger was a problem in Arawyn
Created instantly self replicating plant monsters that we had to save him from
Creating over twelve beings of infinite power that he couldn’t control if they turned against him
Crab people…. I don’t know how it’s his fault, but it is.
Examples of Misjudgment:
Attempted to convince Odette to marry him
Tried to join the Winged Victory
Indulges in an excessive amount of drugs
Assumed my motivations were based on some inherent non-Starling based morality
Challenging Travance, leading to the town getting it’s grubby little hands all over his stuff letting out Icaraus.
Fighting Travance
Allying with Travance when he wasn’t done fighting Travance
Developing a fondness for Travance leading to his adopting a member of the town and losing objectivity about his experiment
Endangered Dog2, therefor enraging a powerful psion
Apparently did business with this Krystophsky guy that everyone hates.
Not putting Belberith in charge immediately
Not putting Belberith in charge once he became an exemplar
Creating eight perfect powerful beings, and then deciding to muck around with them afterwards to quote “see what would happen,” such as splitting their souls in half, and having one absorb an unknown bone that drove her to destructive madness.
Constantly bragging about how great his research is, then refusing to share it, leading to multiple people to steal it and publish it seemingly to spite him
