As we enter a new year, I wanted to take the time and thank the Player Rep team for their continued hard work and contributions to behind-the-scenes changes at our game. I want to thank our community as well for being part of these changes and for their contributions to our reporting system. I also wanted to briefly touch on some topics of concern the community has had and hopefully dispel any rumors or misinformation.
Regarding the staff members I have investigated, I am upholding the wishes of those who came forward to not openly disclose their identities. Our team concluded that some members of staff were not behaving in line with community guidelines as well as expectations we have for professional staff conduct. I ask for your understanding that, due to requests for confidentiality, we will not be releasing an itemized list of complaints against any one staff member. Additionally, it will not be the policy of Knight Realms to make statements of presumed innocence or guilt in any situation, but instead to ensure that any persons with a pattern of misconduct or instances of serious misconduct are removed from opportunities to continue that misconduct. Those Officers, who were found to have engaged in conduct not suitable for staff positions were asked to step down. It is to be noted that the members who have stepped down are no longer in their staff positions. As such they are to be treated as a normal player during Knight Realms activities. This is a hard transition for some of these members and I appreciate the understanding of our community during that time. Please do not solicit information or request marshaling tasks from them that their previous stations would oversee as that is no longer their responsibility.
Regarding our process in general. It is crucial that reports are sent into our system email. This helps us keep track as well as establish any trends of behavior so that we can perform our duties to the best of our ability with all the information in a centralized location. Going forward into the new year I hope that we can have a continued safe and enjoyable space. With the current ongoing pandemic, it has been a source of stress for many of us. We will endure during these tough times. I know I can count on this community to continue to show empathy and compassion to all our players in our many diverse walks of life, and to provide a measure of support for us all. Thank you.
